Defense Industry – Petah Tikva area A defense company in the Petah Tikva area is seeking a Mechanical Engineer.
Job Description:
Responsible for full mechanical design, including detailed drawings and design-for-manufacturing (DFM) of complex components and systems, including load and strength calculations. The role includes supporting the Transfer to Production (NPI) process, working with R&D and manufacturing teams, and coordinating across multidisciplinary fields (Electrical, Software, and Manufacturing Engineering).
Key Responsibilities:
- Mechanical and electrical design and drafting of complex systems.
- Preparing and editing production drawings and demonstrations.
- Performing strength and load calculations for components and systems.
- Utilizing advanced CAD software such as SolidWorks, Visio, Hydro.
- Supporting the Transfer to Production (NPI) process from R&D to manufacturing.
- Working with integrated mechanical and electrical components.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with requirements.
Requirements:
- Education/Experience: Degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering / Technical Design.
- Software: Proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks or equivalent).
- Technical Skills: Experience in design-for-manufacturing (DFM), drafting, and strength calculations.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with manufacturing challenges and transfer-to-production processes.
- Languages: High-level proficiency in English.
- Significant Advantage: Candidates holding Level 3 Security Clearance.
