Role summary
Responsible for managing cross-functional operations projects from development through serial production (Design Transfer). The role includes leading transfer activities from R&D to manufacturing, production line planning, working with subcontractors, and providing engineering support until full manufacturing readiness.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and lead multi-interface operational projects
- Plan and control manufacturing processes and production infrastructure
- Work closely with R&D to ensure stability and quality throughout product transfer to manufacturing
- Manage initial manufacturing builds (prototype) and prepare complete manufacturing documentation packages
- Lead subcontractor activities in Israel and abroad, including production line setup, training manufacturing teams, and evaluating new suppliers
Requirements
- BSc in Industrial Engineering and Management, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering or operational project management
- Experience with NPI and or Design Transfer (R&D to manufacturing transfer)
- Significant advantage: experience working with subcontractors in the electronics or medical device industry
- Experience with high-volume manufacturing processes and writing procedures and documentation
- Proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, SAP, AGILE – an advantage)
